At Holy Family, skills in comprehension of chronology of events, terms and concepts, analysis and use of sources, accessing and analysing perspectives and interpretations, reflecting and evaluating information through the online platform and various other multimedia sources, are taught explicitly. Students are offered the opportunity to develop communication and social skills and practise team building, leadership and cooperative ethics while working individually and in small and large groups to gain knowledge and understanding about the history of Australia, its geography, social institutions and place in the world. The students are supported as they develop empathy for other cultures and lifestyles and a social conscience in these issues as well as issues related to maintaining or improving the environment.
