Parents & Friends Association

The Association, reflecting the life of the Church, shall at all times be characterised by the love of Christ, which is the bond uniting clergy, parents, teachers and pupils to Him and to one another. It will promote the interests of Holy Family School and Catholic Education generally by bringing together parents, pupils, clergy and teaching staff into close cooperation. Through the Association's fund raising activities, it will assist the school to acquire materials and equipment.

The Officers of the Association shall consist of a President, a Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. The Association is also made up of various committees to assist it in achieving its goals.

SOCIAL / FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE

This committee is responsible for organising events that will facilitate greater interaction between members of the school community as well as organising fundraising events to help acquire materials and equipment for the school. The committee would be responsible for organising events such as Mother's Day and Father's Day stalls, raffles, discos, dances, etc. These events assist in not only raising money for the school but also to develop community.

CANTEEN COMMITTEE

This committee, which usually meets once per term is responsible for all of the organisational tasks needed to ensure the canteen provides a nutritional menu for the children. The committee is responsible for:

  • presenting a financial report to each General Meeting of the Association
  • delegating the for Federation of Catholic Schools P & F Associations to the Diocese of Maitland (2 delegates)
  • attending two meetings annually and reporting back to the P & F
  • being a contact person for NSW Parents Council
  • collect all mail from the Council and report anything of interest to the P & F

A general meeting of the Association is held on the second Wednesday of every month (except in the months of December and January) at 7.00 pm in the school library.
